Introduction: The Nobel prize is awarded in October every year. There is a lot of speculation about who will get the award. We have seen The head of state is considered himself fit for the Nobel prize and expressed frustration at not getting it. So there is a common question on the basis of what Nobel prize on the peace is given.

According to the will, the Nobel Peace Prize was to be awarded “to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations and the abolition or reduction of standing armies and the formation and spreading of peace congresses.”

Sectors of Nobel prizes: Nobel prizes are regarded as the most prestigious awards. From 1901 this award has honored several persons and organizations to contribute to respective fields. These fields are Chemistry, Literature, Peace, Physics, and physiology, or Medicine.

How to take nomination?: Eligible persons can apply as a candidates’ name as the nominee. It is easy to use to the committee website and fills up the nomination form. The form is available on the website from September to February. The Nobel committee takes all the participators’ names. Members prepare a shortlist from February to March after a short selection procedure.

Then the shortlist is sent to the Nobel advisor committee. They further review all the candidates and decide the final and most eligible persons.

No one can be their nominee. And the information on nominees is kept confidential.

Who can propose a name for a nominee: No one can submit his or her name. Anyone who can fulfill specific criteria can submit a name for the nominee. They should be members of academics, university professors, scientists, previous Nobel laureates and members of parliamentary assemblies, etc.,

Procedures of final selection: Norwegian Nobel committee finally decides who will get the prize. Five members are in charge of it. The names of the candidates were presented at the first meeting of the Nobel Committee after the nomination process was over. The committee can add candidates’ names, but after this, no proposal is acceptable. Then the committee members start the discussion about the candidates. Now they get prepared a shortlist of 20 to 30 candidates after first point review. In the next candidates are going through an in-depth study.

Now the list is prepared to go the advisors of the Nobel Institute. The advisors help the institute to select winners. Mainly they are professors of several universities in Norway. They get a few months to prepare the reports on the candidates. Sometimes other experts are asked for their valuable reports.

When the Nobel committee finally gets all the reports, they go again in-depth review of potential winners. It is not ended. Sometimes they take extra reports from many foreign experts to know every information on their hand. In the last, this committee finally selects its winners at their last meeting.

And The name of the most desired winner is announced.
